Volaris is Mexico's largest airline and one of the leading ultra-low-cost carriers connecting North, Central, and South America. Officially known as Controladora Vuela Compañía de Aviación, the airline was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Mexico City, with its main operating base in Guadalajara. Volaris trades publicly on the New York Stock Exchange as VLRS and on the Mexican Stock Exchange as VOLAR, operating as an ultra-low-cost carrier with point-to-point service across Mexico, the United States, and Central and South America. Since launching, the airline has carried more than 265 million passengers.
